Message:   Quality of Photos: IMPORTANT

From: Vanion     Sent: 9 Jan. 2005     Message 1 of 3

Hi People,

I do not want to seem critical of the photos that are being posted, because this is one of the sites on the net that people are posting to. But. I am a professional photographer for a living. If you will take a hint, shoot from a low angle, and for the most part, back out. Most of the photos are taken too close up. At least show a bit of the body as well. And from an angle is best. It will make for a much more sexy shot than just Blam Straight on. Give it a try, and be surprised at what you will acomplish.

Vanion.
Want more hints. Email, galactic300@hotmail.com

Hi Vanion,

Thanks for your message. Sounds like good advice to me.

I can also suggest that people read the article that I wrote on this subject a couple of years ago, even though it is a bit dated: http://cindyandjoearchive.com/HowToMakePictures.htm

I'll try to revise my article one of these days to bring it up-to-date, and to incorporate Vanion's suggestions.

Joe

PS. Of course, the most important is that people do post their pictures. I.e., we'd rather see more pictures even if the quality is questionable than no pictures at all! :-)

So please post, the more the better.

Buster, Semi-retired commercial photog. here. I agree with Galactic 300 totally. bring the angle down a bit and shoot with a slightly longer focal length if you have a zoom. You will be surprised with how much better your shots are. Happy Flashing.
