Message: No more video clip access this month

Hello everyone,

I've had to stop access to the video clips on our "Data Archive" web site. During the last 10 days alone 20 gigabytes of bandwidth was used. The limit for that site is 25 GB per month, so to ensure that the information and pictures sections can remain accessible I've stopped access to the video clips.

Earlier this month 9 GB of bandwidth was used at Bill Baroud's FTP server. That's a total of almost 30 GB worth of Cindy video clips in less than three weeks.

Funny how popular the Cindy video clips seem to be when I look at the amount of downloading, compared to how little interest there seems to be in them when I consider the almost total lack of feedback on this site. :-(

Access will probably be opened up again some time next month.

Not everyone replies publicly all the time or at all by posting a message.
Some times they reply by a download. That speaks volumes of the "service"
you and your beautiful wife are doing. When the both of you were in high
school, growing up did you evey imagine that thousands of people would view
you in a sexually, sensually, astonishing, fascinating, learning, accepting
sort of way. Hats off to the both of you. But you know what, sometimes
showing up at a rally an merely being counted is just as good as yelling and
shouting at the rally. People are showing their support by downloading, just
as you and your wife are showing your support by making the pics and videos
and sharing them. God bless you and your wife.

Dear butch,

Thank you for your very nice message and for your blessing.

Speaking generally, i.e., about all kinds of on-line music and videos and information and entertainment, etc., I think one can put Internet surfers into one of three categories:

1. Those who take it all for granted and who never think about the effort that someone somewhere has put into creating the content.

2. Those who at least occasionally think about where the content came from and appreciate the work that was put into providing it, but never say thank you to the provider.

3. Those who not only appreciate the work that went into providing the content, but who make the effort to say thank you to the persons responsible.

I'm sure you're right that a lot of people enjoy the Cindy video clips, but if they almost all fall into category 1 then I'm not all that keen on Joe and I having to subsidize their downloading habit.

We have hard evidence that category 3 is extremely small, so the open question is the ratio between categories 1 and 2. The very small size of category 3 makes us fear that category 2 is also fairly small.

You're totally right. Most of us just watch (and drool) over the pics and don't post anything.
