Message:   Cindy video clips on i-drive

The following is a copy of the message that I posted several days ago, and which got deleted by mistake:

I still haven't found a really good place to upload the Cindy video clips, but as a temporary solution for the new "Candy is Dandy" clip I've uploaded it to the old "CindyAndJoe" area at i-drive. (I've previously used this i-drive area back in Nov.-Dec. last year, but gave up on it due to poor reliability.)

There are two ways to access the clip. The first way is easy, but will only work for a little while each day until the daily download limit is exceeded. The second way is more complicated but should work almost always, unless i-drive is having technical problems.

The easy way

Go to http://www.idrive.com and where is says "Visitors - destination i-drive:" enter cindyandjoe and click on "VISIT". This gets you to a page where it says "visiting cindyandjoe's home". Click on "STORAGE", place a check mark besides cindyv12.mpg and click on "Download". From there on it should be pretty obvious.

The hard way

Start by creating your own i-drive account. Go to http://www.idrive.com and click where it says "New PC Users - Get a FREE 50MB Account". Go through the whole process, which includes getting your account validated by responding to an e-mail that i-drive will send to the e-mail address that you specify.

After you have created and validated your i-drive account, and are logged in to it, visit the cindyandjoe area in i-drive without logging out from your own account. Do this by simply modifying the URL on the brower's address line to http://www.idrive.com/cindyandjoe

You are now logged in to your own i-drive account and visiting the cindyandjoe i-drive. Click on "STORAGE", place a check mark besides the "Cindy video clips" folder and click on "Take". A window confirms that you are about to "take" the folder to your i-drive: click on the "Take" button. Then click on "Back to my i-drive".

Back at your own i-drive click on "STORAGE", and you should find a copy of the "Cindy video clips" folder there. Open it up and download the files that you want.
