Message:   Bad news - max file size now 1 MB

Just yesterday on another thread I mentioned that there was a limit to how big a file could be uploaded to the File Cabinet. Up until yesterday the limit was 10 MB, but now MSN has reduced this limit to only 1 MB!

The change does not affect existing files, so the Cindy video clips which are already uploaded remain OK. (If we neglect that fact that a large number of members, including myself, can't download them because of the server reset problem.) But it will not be possible for me to upload future Cindy video clips to this community. Sigh.

If I had the time what I'd really like to do is to set up my own web server, but time simply doesn't permit this. On the other hand, these so-called free services like Excite Clubs and MSN Web Communities are so problematic that I sometimes think it's time to give up and close down "Cindy and Joe".

I'll keep you all posted on further developments.
