Message: Lack of disk space

The club here at Excite has run out of disk space. Unfortunately, it turns out that (despite what it says in Excite's help file) removing files from the Files section does NOT increase the disk space available to the Photos section :-(

I happen to know that there are several members who are trying to post new pics and are very frustrated with the current situation.

My understanding is that Excite plans to increase the amount of disk space per club at some time in the future, but I don't know when.

Until then we have a couple of options:

1. Members can post their pics at our secondary site at MSN, where the disk space is, for all practical purposes, unlimited. If you do this, please also post a message here in the discussion folder "News from the Cindy and Joe site at MSN" telling the members, so they remember to take a look at the MSN site.

2. If the members think that it is a good idea, I can delete some of the Cindy pics from this site. They are also posted on the MSN site, so the only disadvantage is that all of the comments posted on the pics will be lost.

3. If the members think it is a good idea, I can delete some of the pics posted here by members several months ago. Personally, I'm not too keen on this solution - Cindy and I really appreciate it when members post their personal pics here, and it is not very nice to then delete them.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

OK, I've already made up my mind - sometimes just writing things down helps clear the thinking process :-)

I've just deleted all of the Cindy pics from the first photo session, and that should free up 3 MB of disk space.

I picked these photos to delete because they were of the poorest photographic quality (Polaroid shots) and had the fewest interesting comments. Also, most of the shots (displaying pussy, multiple dildos, super speculum) have been repeated in later photos.

What has not been re-done are some of the bondage-related stuff (tit press and cunt press) and the 15 candles.

All of the Cindy pics are still available on our "secondary site" at MSN.

So now there should be disk space available. I'm looking forward to seeing the new member's pictures :-)

The club has run out of disk space again :-(

This time I decided to delete some pics posted several months ago under the album name "T and J". My apologies to T and J, but I don't have much choice - I have to look around and delete something whenever we run out of disk space.

I can also encourage members to post their pics to the MSN community instead of here, because the disk space at MSN is basically unlimited.

What happens if you create a culb called

"Cindy and Joe 2"

on Excite, do you get more space for that extension of this club?

Hi Zap,

Yes, creating another Excite club would be a work-around, but it wouldn't be much better than having the "secondary site" at MSN that we already have.

Excite has promised that the amount of disk space per club will be increased in a month or so, so I've decided to stick with the present situation for the moment.

They did, and much sooner than expected! The disk space for photos has been increased from 10 MB to 20 MB, according to a message on the Excite Communities Help club.

So come on everyone, now there's no excuse for not uploading your own personal pics! That is, after all, what most of the members want, lots of new pics :-)

PS. I have re-loaded the Cindy pics from the first photo session back in 1997.

PPS. Cindy and I hope to make a couple of new pics later this month, and I have plans for a new "photo story" to be made in later this year, hopefully by May.

Wonderful Joe. We will all look forward to that I am sure. On the subject of "our pics", many (maybe even most) most of us are still trying hard to get the full penetration, let alone being able to concentrate on getting photos at the same time! :-) We all envy those of you who have made the "breakthough". :-)

More good news! Excite has just announced that they are now "pooling" the disk space for photos and files, and that the total limit is now 30 MB.

So there shouldn't be any more disk space problems for the foreseeable future :-)
