While on vacation I managed to do a lot of reading, seven or eight thick novels, something I don't take time to do normally.

One of the books I read was "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman, which I loved. Highly recommended to anyone interested in a thought-provoking look at modern American society, written as a fantasy story.

There was one passage of about four pages which I thought was strangely relevant for the members of "Cindy and Joe". I had started to type it in as a long message, but then amazingly I found it on the Internet, so I can just post a link and save time and avoid having a bad conscience about copyright considerations.

This story is erotic even if fantasy. Only a tiny midget could ever enter a huge vagina, and there are erotic stories on the internet like that, as I read one.

I would guess that a small adult head would be the largest insertion we are likely to see in the near future, as for those who love maximum stretching that is about all that would be safe and possible.

Is "Bilquis" pronounced Bil' quee or Bil key? And is it a French name like Marquis?

I don't know how to pronounce "Bilquis", and I wasn't able to find it in any of the online dictionaries that I tried. I don't think it's a French word and I had assumed that the final "s" was not silent - but I don't really know.

If you want to read some online copies of book reviews about "American Gods" where Bilquis is mentioned in the review (and usually mentioned as a Middle East goddess of love) you can go to this site:

As for what actually happens in the encounter between Bilquis and the man, I had assumed that since Bilquis was a goddess that she could warp time and space or cause a miracle to happen or whatever, and that allowed her to consume the man by drawing him into herself.

Maybe it's best that one doesn't try to analyze what happened too precisely. After all, the book is a fantasy about gods and what they do here on Earth, and a lot of it is not explainable under the normal rules of physics, etc.

You are so right!

Gods are Goddesses are inexplicable and the cause of their action is best left to the imagination... sort of like the Stock Market, which is that way.

Even our sexual preferences operate this way and the laws of Physics and Statistics can not explain some things... like the things we like and the reason we think the way we do! Even the cause and effect ideas of Freud are now being discarded as possible causes.

As long as our thoughts lead to no harm, I am very glad that such things are indeterminate (like a single Quantum Particle is). A predictable World would be a Dull and Boring World!
