Message:   Cervix pictures

From: Joe     Sent: 28 Feb. 2005     Message 1 of 7

A member recently posted an album with three pictures featuring the women's cervix. In one picture it was obvious that the woman had a prolapsed uterus and in the other two it looked like the women were on their way to having that condition.

The album description included the name of an MSN group featuring cervix pictures. I joined that group to see what it was all about, and discovered that the group mostly featured pictures of women with prolapsed uterus conditions, and there was one album that featured pictures of a woman having various objects inserted up through her cervix.

Cindy and I have talked it over, and we decided to delete the album with the three pictures from our group. For a couple of reasons:

We think that inserting objects up through the cervix is a very dangerous practice, so we don't want to be even indirectly involved in supporting a web site that might encourage people to do this.

We think that confusing health problems and erotic desires can be a problem. A prolapsed uterus is a health problem that needs medical treatment. Some men may find the idea or the images sexy but Cindy and I do not want our group to be associated with these attitudes.

We may well be reinforcing our reputation for being overly sensitive, but there it is. We did not feel comfortable with that picture album on our web site.

Not that it matters but I agree totally with you Joe. Cookie

I agree that some of the women who can gape well and can prolapse their cervices also have loose uterine supports (Alysha and Irma/Elmer are examples), and this does represent a health problem they will probably need to have surgically corrected later in life. Likewise, insertion of objects through the cervix should only be done by a doctor and for good reason. I support your action.

rusty,

Certainly anything into the cervix is a definite NO NO.

The uterine prolapse (sometimes even with most of the vagina turining wrong side out) comes in all degrees, and it is mostly just a nuisance problem due to loose ligaments that hold the uterus up. If constipation or hard straining makes it come out, some women just push it back inside if they want to avoid surgery or wish to continue doing large insertions.

There are devices that will fit up inside the vagina (usually only made up to slightly over 4 inches wide) that will hold the uterus inside if it comes out quite easily. Those devices are used where surgery is not wanted, but they require cleaning at intervals to avoid vaginal discharge.

I once read where women have tried all kinds of things on their own to insert and hold their uterus inside them... rather than have surgery. The article gave a list of things tried (even including regular sized croquet balls).

From the vaginal stretching standpoint, if the nuisance becomes more of a problem than they enjoy big insertions, then they need to see a surgeon... and give up on stretching after surgery.

A very good public service idea, Cindy and Joe. I'd have to agree with you 100% on your decision and I applaud you for being so proactive in deleting the album.

While some subjects may have a certain eroticism to them, one where a dangerous consequence may arise is definitely worth addressing. Many folks do insert objects into themselves, often times courting danger in the process. I recall a lady friend of mine several years ago who was a triage nurse at a hospital in Arizona. One evening, a man was admitted to the emergency room who had had a tubular shaped light bulb inserted into his anus. Apparently he became so aroused, having had that done to him, he clenched his muscles so hard as to cause the bulb to shatter into tiny shards that severed numerous tissues in his rectum that nearly cost him his life. Not a pretty picture, I'm sure.
