My wife and I have been working to be able to fist but when I get my hand inside her she says that it makes her stomach upset and she feels like she may throw up. Is this normal or is there something wrong that we may need to have checked out.

It's certainly not normal, and in fact I've never even heard of this before. Is it actually in her stomach that she feels this sensation, or lower down in her intestines?
The only thing I can think of suggesting is for your wife to try taking a motion sickness pill before you try fisting.
