Message:
Vaginal irritation, what is the right lube?
From: dohbf Sent: 17 Sep. 2000 Message 1 of 6
Hi everybody!
I am a new member to this community though been visiting the site for quite a while. As a novice to fisting I am impressed with a true devotion and expertise of the people partisipating in this community.
I need your advice, ladies and gentlemen. I understand that it is most likely is an obvious questoin not be discussed with pros but you have to start somewhere, you know. Here is the deal: my wife while being fisted complains that the lubricants we use give her a terrible bruning irritation in the vagina. It's all right when we just begin but then in a few minutes when I proceed deeper and wider and add more lube while going in, that unpleasant feeling ruins everything for my wife and me. We have tried several water based lubes, some flavored, some not, some with STD protection effect, nonoxynol-9 and stuff. We are sure that my wife is healthy (visit to a doctor confirmed). What do we do wrong? What should we look for in a lubricant (ingridients) and what is a no-no for a vaginal fisting?
Your input is appreciated.

I was hoping someone else would post a reply, but since that is not the case I'll just say that Cindy and I have never had this problem, so I'm afraid that we have no advice to give you.
We have always used water-based lubes. We usually use a Danish product called "Eksplorations-creme", but have also used KY jelly and a no-name product from the Boots chain of drug stores in the UK.

KY jelly is very hypo-allergenic and has been used by the medical profession for many years. Possibly an allergy specialist could help with your problem. If you are using latex gloves, many more people are allergic to latex (and also the various soap products used for washing hands) than to these water soluble lubricants. A few rare people with dermatographia get a reaction (like an allergy) from pressure, but there is usually an underlying allergy problem in them also. If taking benadryl or an antihistimine before such activity does not help, I can not say what to do. Your problem has me stumped, so you will have to consult a specialist in such reactions (an allergist)

Thank you guys for posting your comments. My wife and we have decided jsut to go slowly. We will try the lubes you suggested and see. Now when fisting is an "open" hobby in our family we have time to"stretch the pleasure".

We've tried different lubes and all the suggestions so far are very good, but some considerations needs to be taken if the man is using any type of handcream. Many contain perfume or god knows what else, and can cause irritation and burning. Try using liquid KY or Vagisil to see if you notice a difference.
