Message:   Vaginal fisting and health

From: Cindy-CindyAndJoe     Sent: September 17, 1999     Message 1 of 9

When Joe and I made the two photo sessions back in 1997 I wrote that I recommended that women who are into vaginal fisting do contraction exercises daily to avoid their pussy muscles from becoming loose. This is not because I consider a loose vagina necessarily to be a sexual liability (Joe actually likes it when my pussy is loose), but because I am worried about the health consequences of a loose vagina. Can this result in the uterus descending or other possible problems?

I've never been able to find any factual information about this subject, presumably because vaginal fisting is a fairly uncommon practice.

The question has become more pressing for me. I've become very busy with my "real life" job during the last two years, and have been neglecting my exercises, with the result that my vagina has become rather loose.

I would like to ask if there are any members who have any information on this subject, either personal health problems or lack of personal health problems after many years of fisting, or else a reference to some source of information.

Thanks,
Cindy

Your two questions about decensus of the uterus and looseness are good ones.

Without details the answers are: The dropping or decensus of the uterus is usually not related to stretching but is caused by loose utero-sacral ligaments which are located very high in the pelvis. Virgins get dropping or uterine procidentia and have never had any stretching. As to looseness, Dr. Arnold Kegel had recommendations as to how to do his exercises and those are almost never followed in the manner he recommended. If his original recommendations are followed and very rough fisting is avoided, the looseness will usually not be a problem.

Any details take more than the 2000 characters allowed.

Hi Zap,

Thank you for your posting. It's really nice to hear from someone who knows what he's talking about on this subject. I've been searching for this kind of information on the Internet for many years but never found anything.

I'd appreciate it if you sent me the details via e-mail or else uploaded a file with more information to the Files area. (If you send the info to me by e-mail I'll put it in the Files area myself for the benefit of the others.)

I'm currently doing the Dr. Kegel exercises (or at least I think I'm doing them :-) every morning for 10 minutes, except when I'm off traveling or when I'm very busy and stressed.

Thanks again,
Cindy

Thank you for the response. I emailed you about this.

There are so many facets to this subject and a lot of the medical aspects have to be individualized.

The only problem I have with fisting is that one time the man who was fisitng me had not trimmed his nails enough and I got a very small, but very painful, cut inside my pussy.

I went from doctor to doctor and found that no one had any answers. They all said that it would take a long time to heal and it did--about 6 months. During this time I was not able to use dildos, have intercouse, or any thing at all in my pussy---even as small as one finger. It was very unpleasant for me. And painful.

I now I will not be fisted without rubber gloves and also inspect the person's nails as well.

Mary, your infection was quite unusual, as vaginas heal very rapidly even with large tears at childbirth that are filled with fecal material... even when the tear extends into the anal area causing the tear to be filled with germ laden material. It is quite unusual to have a region that will not heal rapidly unless the non-healing area or ulcer is caused by herpes or the woman has very poor healing powers.

Some women... especially those with low hormone levels, advanced age, allergic vaginitis, infectious vaginitis, senile vaginitis, aids, immune disorders, and/or diabetes will have slow healing. If you have a family history of diabetes or other slow healing, a blood sugar test might be worthwhile.

Naturally if you do fisting, an extended hand wash, very short fingernails, and a thorough sanding of the nails is always in order.

Gloves sometimes interfere with sensation and are not always used unless there is a cut or sore on the hand (or hands) used, disease of a partner is suspected, or there are multiple participants in the sexual activity. If you or a partner is allergic to latex, gloved usage can be a major worry.

Thanks for your comments Zap---is there any way that we could correspond? I hope I am not being too foward but I would love to get to know you better.

Mary, I would be glad to chat with you or you can email me at my zappaz1@excite.com address.

I prefer not to give specific advice to individuals, as one should "only" use their own doctor for advise.

I am old and rather long winded :-) I sometimes even enjoy relating information about my past observations of similar conditions and situations. (for whatever value such rambling chat might have).

However, I hate to recommend that one do anything specific... and recommend one should always use their own professionally sought after advice.

Almost every situation including yours, is an individual thing and requires direct contact with a professional to obtain safe and valuable advice.

I forgot thank you for the invitation to chat, and to mention that I have ICQ and can turn it on if you suggest a time by email when to "chat".

For some reason, it seems to be a more reliable connection than "excite chat" or "excite voice".
