Message:   Questions on Pelvic Size and Stretching

From: zappaz1     Sent: April 14, 2000     Message 1 of 6

I get e-mails about fisting and "pelvic size". Most want to know the maximum possible, but one today asked me when the bones "felt small" in one (of a ladies two girlfriends) if that was the reason the one girlfriend was harder to fist?

Normally the pelvic opening of almost all women is large enough to pass an infant's head (the head is much larger than a fist). The reason the bones "felt small" is that the lower vaginal rim has not been stretched downward enough to get to the part of the pelvic opening where there is "a lot of room".. to the sides.

So, the answer is that this most likely is a "stretching" problem and not a boney or pelvis problem. Some people just stretch faster and more easily than others... is the answer to those questions.

Today I posted a file in the Files section to answer the many questions I get about "Maximal possible vaginal stretching" and "what is the maximum vaginal stretching fetish possible"? Hopefully it will prevent some over enthusiastic people from injury or "over expectations". "Maximum Fantasies" are wonderful, normal and great... and even a lot of fun. We just need to know our limitations.

See: "Maximal Vaginal Stretching" under "Files"

Zappaz,
Maybe you can enlighten me on this one? This is not related to "Pelvic size", but related to my girlfriends potential vaginal problem.
She has been complaining for the last 3 weeks or so about her left hip area hurting. She felt that she maybe pulled a muscle. It hasn't gotten any better. She went to her gynogologist (I think) monday for a physical. She told her female doctor about her hip problem. The doctor wanted to check out a potential cyst in her ovaries. Apparantly, the pain can be similar. Upon the examination, the doctor discovered that her ovaries on her left side are much larger than her right side. Within the next hour, she will be given either an MRI or a Catscan to see whether or not that a potential cyst has developed. She was afraid to tell me this because she knew that I would blame myself. We enjoy fisting at least 2 times a week. Question is this: Can fisting be the cause of this potential problem? Be straight with me please

Fisting will not cause an ovarian cyst. Most cysts are harmless types that do not require surgery. The tests will show if the cyst if large enough to do surgery, as that decision is often based on size or enlargement of previous size.

With the hand in the vagina, these cysts are much easier to examine as to size. Does she complain about much pain when you have your hand toward the side and upward where the cyst is located? Your fisting is not the cause of the cyst. If it is a thin walled cyst (usually the non cancerous type which are much more common) sometimes very rough fisting will break the cyst. That will be a painful a few days before the fluid is absorbed, but will prevent the surgeon from getting his fee :-) Just follow what her doctor suggests.

Hi,
I have had up to 12 ovarian cysts as one time, and they are very painful. They are NOT caused by fisting but they can certainly hurt during fisting. And as Zap said, fisting can "pop" a cyst usually ending up in a visit to the ER for pain control as the pain is incredibly severe.
I had my ovaries removed last year (as well as my uterus) due to continuing problems with the cysts. Now I no longer have that particular problem.
Also wanted to suggest that her hip pain could also be related to a Sacroliliac Joint Dysfunction, which refers pain to the pelvic area and hip areas as well.
I am having a problem with my SI joint right now, it's treated with massage and physical therapy.

Hope you're girlfriend is ok!

Yes, the sacroiliac joints in women gets much looser than in men, and pressure on the bones tends to move the joint. I have even seen the pain go away with movement of those joints while doing fisting as that may pop the painful joint back into place :-) At other times women who are having the pain have it worse during fisting, or anything that puts pressure on the pelvic bones.

In pregnancy the joints loosen up and did you ever see a pregnant woman "waddle like a duck"? That is caused by the sacro-iliac joints being loose.

I have had a few with the pain on one side be suddenly relieved of it when the fingers are inside and toward the side painful with the thumb outside the vagina. Then, with a gentle shaking up and down the joint "pops back into place" and suddenly is relieved of the pain.

Mind you, I am not recommending you do this method, but just relating what I have seen happen. The method might even make it hurt worse. So, see your doctor about the pain (he won't do the method I described) ... LOL
