Negative effects of fisting

Has anyone here experienced any negative effects from fisting? My g/f and I talk about fisting and are turned on by the subject, but before we do it I want to know about the pros and cons. Is there a long term loss of sensation (during sex) from a looser vagina? Any pain or cramping afterwards? If there are any medical issues we should be concerned with, I'd like to know those as well. Zappaz?

There are many medical problems where fisting should not be done. Mostly these are not so common, but they exist. Sometimes previous surgery, low hormones, infections, radiation treatments, and advanced age can be contraindications altogether.
As to loss of sensation, most who practice Kegel exercises do not experience that. If you wish your wife to be very tight at times, and at other times do fisting, make sure she does enough Kegel exercises every day to maintain that ability.
Those who do not do exercises are more apt to have a possible looseness and trouble feeling a penis as well as before. Many couples that do fisting do not mind that at all. If they do, these couples usually use a "spoon position" with the penis and a hand "both" in the vagina at the same time. That way they avoid diminished sensation problems and both can get stimulation at the same time.
My suggestion would be that if you have doubts, be sure and seek some individualized medical advice

Joe and I have been fisting for eight years now, and the only result that can perhaps be considered negative is that my cunt has become rather loose. This could probably have been avoided if I had been better at doing Kegel exercises consistently. Unfortunately I find it hard to remember to do these exercises when my life is irregular, and Joe and I travel a lot and I especially find it hard to remember to do Kegel exercises when waking up in a different hotel room every morning.
So my message about doing Kegel exercises regularly is a "do as I say, don't do as I do" message :-)
For me (and for Joe) the looseness of my cunt is not a problem. I have not experienced any loss of sensitivity, and Joe finds my cunt being big and loose to be a turn-on. When Joe says something like, "wow, your cunt has gotten so big and loose that I can't feel whether I'm inside you or not" then I can always reassure him that I can definitely feel that he is inside me.
When Joe and I make love he always uses his fingers as well as his cock. Usually we use what we call the "modified missionary position" where Joe has one lower arm down under my buttock and his fingertips inside the back of my cunt. Sometimes we use the "spoon position" that Zappaz refers to. Joe massages the muscles around my cunt opening from the inside and I achieve one orgasm after another.
Incidentally, these muscles are very large and strong because I do do my Kegel exercises most of the time. My assumption is that the looseness of my cunt is not due to lack of strength in my cunt muscles but because the muscles have been allowed to become (permanently?) stretched during the periods when I have neglected the Kegel exercises. (This sound reasonable to you, Zappaz?)
So in summary I don't feel that I have experienced any negative effects of fisting, even though my cunt has become loose as a result of my failure to do the Kegel exercises consistently. The only possible problem I can imagine would be if Joe and I were ever to split up and if I then fell in love with a man who felt that a cunt should be tight and was turned off by a loose cunt.

Cindy, you explained his question very very well!!
I have know many couples who love large vaginal stretching and fisting, and none lament the possible looseness. Some of them do lots of Kegels and are able to be very tight if they want to. Others do no Kegels (or hardly any Kegels). We both mentioned that being able to contract very tightly is not a necessary thing.. as long as both partners enjoy the status quo.. as many couples do.. LOL
I still recommend doing some Kegels, as I think is a healthy thing to do. Some people seem to love a rather loose feeling vagina.. and I can not convince them to do Kegels.. LOL
The added pleasure for the lady is naturally greater (orgasmic wise) than for the man with stretching activity, as the stretched condition of the vagina produces stronger orgasms.
However, if the man enjoys the vaginal stretching like Joe, myself, and many others, then the wife's pleasure just adds to our own pleasure... so much the better.. for BOTH partners. Naturally only people who have no inhibitions about vaginal fisting should be into this activity, but once they "start" doing it, just about everybody gets to love vaginal fisting. The increasing popularity of our activity may overcome some people's inhibitions!
I notice on the internet in the last year that there are about 5 to 10 times as much material devoted to vaginal fisting that in the year before. Male to male anal fisting seems to remain about the same level of popularity.. so we are gaining as a standard accepted sexual activity!
To me this indicates that vaginal stretching and fisting seems to be in an exponential popularity rise.. at least right now.
Doing this activity is one of "discovery"... as _describing it_ to others can not convey the great experience it brings!! This is why our Club is so helpful in getting people to simply "discover" possibilities that they otherwise.. would remain ignorant about. We all thank you.. Cindy and Joe.. for this Club!
I for one hope this popularity rise continues and then more and more people will come to "discover" the great pleasure that vaginal fisting/stretching brings

Thatk you for your responses. I think we are going to do it, and I'll highly recommend that she do those Kegel excercises. I'm also hoping that the fisting may help reduce the pain or tearing during a future childbirth. Thanks.
