Female ejaculation
From: Cindy-CindyAndJoe Sent: January 6, 2000 Message 1 of 10
This is a bit off-topic, but Garybolton, one of the new members, posed this question:
> What i'd like to know is does cindy "squirt" with this type play?
My answer is no, I'm afraid not.
What I'd like to know is, how common is this, and has the medical profession (that's you, Zappaz :-) come up with an explanation yet?
It would also be interesting to hear other members' personal experiences, and possible explanations of this phenomenon.
Yours,
Cindy

Female ejaculation is something I have always found to be very exciting. I've watched several videos (instructional and entertaining) and still am not sure of the subject.
My wife J has had orgasms involving a squirt (I might be able to post one if requested). She claims that it's nothing but urine. She also says that the urgency to urinate while building to the ejaculation is unpleasant to her. It has therefore become something she normally doesn't wish to do for me.
On one occaision that I did taste the squirt, I can say it did not taste anything like her urine.
The instructional videos I've watched (all produced by the porn industry) claim that the ejaculate will come out of the womans urethra, so it will appear as if she is urinating. Some of the videos meant for entertainment I've watched were definitely faked.

"Female Ejaculation" is a subject that is filled with argument and controversy. Even the Grafenberg Spot (G Spot) was actually "discovered" because Perry was trying to explain the muscular contractions that cause the "female ejaculation". Helen Robinson described the phenomena from a medical standpoint at a 1979 AASECT convention. After that it has been recognized that "something" is shot out in certain women when they have vaginal or G Spot type orgasms.
It is of course a "real" phenomena, but as to the nature and source of the fluid, there is much controversy. It was noted by Grafenberg that there is a swelling in the anterior vagina and thickening of the urethra tube from the bladder that can be felt to enlarge before orgasm in these women. As the urethra enlarges, and as many women have some urethrocele or bulging of the urethra tube, the question is, is this due to that short tube filling up with urine or other secretions before it is shot out. Most doctors believe it is urine. There have been studies to test the fluid and most show it tests like urine, but one study showed that it had a phosphatase enzyme that is not found in urine (this was not confirmed in the studies that showed the fluid was urine).
Now, what is my opinion as to the source of the fluid?
I believe that it may have multiple sources in different women. The strong muscle contracture of the vaginal orgasm "can push out" fluid from more than one source. Many women can contract very firmly at that time, and the most common fluid is urine (I think). Sometimes the Skene's glands can be secreting more at that time and filled with fluid and that fluid would explain why the one test I mentioned had the phosphatase in it. So there can be multiple sources of the fluid or even mixed sources... as I add another opinion to confuse the "standing arguments".

Hi,
I have been ejaculating regularly for the past 2 years. It is the most intense type orgasm I can have and almost always occurs from vaginal orgasms but has occasionally happened with clitoral ones as well. My
ejaculate is either clear or whitish-clear. I always empty my bladder before any sexual activity, otherwise fisting would be painful. I always empty my bladder again after sex. So if it were urine I was ejaculating, I wouldn't have anything left after sex to pee out. My husband has tasted mine and says it tastes different each time, sometimes it is sweet, sometimes neutral and a few times bitter.
I asked several doctors about this, most urologists either say it doesn't happen or if it does it must be urine. The gnyecologists I have asked say it comes from 2 different sets of glands within the vagina and close to the urethral opening. They also say it has some of the same properties as male ejaculate and explains why it is sometimes whitish-clear. A good rule of thumb, if it is yellow or smells like urine it probably is. Mine 99.9% of the time does not smell or look like urine, so now I am able to relax and let it happen easier knowing I am not peeing myself, LOL
My ejaculate can sometimes spray several feet away, and definitely soaks me, my partner and the bed, floor, etc. I used to be very self-conscious about it and even withheld my orgasm's intensity because of it, until my doctor reassured me that it was not urine. Sometimes it can have urine mixed in with it if the woman doesn't empty her bladder before sex (even women who don't ejaculate should do this since it can cause pain if the bladder is too full).
I haven't met a man yet who is turned off by the experience and most love to watch it close up :) Then they lick it off me, Mmmm :)

Your experience seems to confirm my "mixed sources theory".
In your case it sounds like it is often from different sources, as it "tastes different" from time to time.
Probably yours comes from either the "Skene's glands" or the "paraurethral glands" (at least part of the time). It might have some urine mixed at other times as it tastes different.
Your gynecologist may have forgot to mention the third set of glands around the vagina. I do not believe yours comes from the third set called "Bartholin glands" which are more to the sides of the vagina in women near the Hymenal ring. These bartholin glands are the equivalent of the pea sized Cowpers glands in males, which "do open urethrally" in men, but not in females. In females the bartholin glands aid in vaginal lubrication, and tend to have less secretion if estrogen levels are low.
I have seen these bartholin glands enlarge to the size of a grapefruit with fluid and block the vaginal opening. At other times they get infections with pus and have to be drained, and later removed. Ladies who get large bartholin gland cysts (clear fluid) often have a very large introitus in my experience. I can remember several that admitted a hand into the vagina with virtually no pressure at all applied. Early on, doing vaginal exams I examined my first opening that was like this (a lady from Sweden who had a huge bartholin cyst.. and still lots of room for a hand to be put in comfortably by the side of it). I examined her in the presence of her husband, and he encouraged the hand insertion. She and her husband did not wish vaginal tightening even though she had an uneventful surgery to remove it. I personally think it is a mistake to tighten a vagina (no matter how huge it is) during vaginal surgery without determining the wishes of patients.
This is done all the time by many doctors... so ask about this, if you need vaginal surgery!

Hi Zap,
Actually my GYN did mention those glands as well and said the ejaculate can also come from those glands. I just couldn't remember the technical names he used, but your mentioning them brought it back to my memory.
And skene's was the other I think he mentioned.
My ejaculate can be seen to be coming from different places at different times. My husband can tell it is coming from inside the vagina (not urethra) as it flows out past his hand or cock when he is fully inserted (it hits the head of his cock or his knuckles if fisting).
Sometimes when he is fisting me, as he pulls out I squirt, then he pushes in and I stop, then he pulls out and I squirt, like that. So the appliance & release of pressure from something seems to help it happen.

Just my own 5 cents...
I have never been able to ejaculate, but its pretty easy to loose bladder control in some situations...
Most of the clips I have seen so far seem to show exactly that - a fluid coming out of the urethra (is that correct?) that looks like pee.
That doesn't mean that all women don't ejaculate, though, just that many in the films seem not to. Sounds like youre one of the lucky few, Gina! ;-)

Everytime my girlfriend and have foreplay, we always enjoying stimulating the G-Spot and everytime - she gushes. I have watched it come out of the urethra and sometimes it's clear and other times, it is very milky which of course could not be urine. There are also times that without question, it's urine. "If is smells like urine- it must be urine. Regardless of what it is, the great sensation is always the same for her.

Flormo, your description of the fluid being of different appearance and odor further confirms my "Mixed Sources Theroy".
The milky fluid is probably from the paraurethral or Skene's glands... and the urine like.. clear fluid, with a urine odor, is of course urine. Gina's description of fluid at times "not" from the urethra is from the other (or Bartholin) glands which open near the hymenal ring.
Direct physical stimulation, and sometimes just "mental only" stimulation will make some women just "pour out" fluid from all these glands. It's sort of like when you are hungry and smell bacon cooking in the morning... then you salivate :-) At other times the contractions of orgasm push out the urine or urethral gland fluid :-)

I know when I 1st started ejaculating I thought it was urine, and would try to control or lessen my orgasms so it wouldn't happen. Finally I realized I have the best orgasms possible when I do ejaculate and Chip loves to make me cum again and again to the point that I couldn't hold back an orgasm if my life depended on it! So I started tasting and smelling my own ejaculate to reassure myself it wasn't urine. Mine can be clearly seen to be whitish clear in my videos which have captured the ejaculations pretty well! Though once it looked a little yellow to me, and once when Chip was eating me he said it tasted bitter, which was different from the norm (usually it tastes sweet when I cum he says).
Now that I know for myself how to make sure it's not urine (completely empty bladder before sex and again in the middle if necessary), I can relax and let go with my ejaculate, assured it is normal for me and not urine. You know, before Chip, I could count the times I ejaculated on one hand--now of course I couldn't do that for each session with Chip, haha! I doubt I could ever go back to what most people consider "normal" sex!
Gina :)
