If anyone out there lives in a state where some online video stores will not ship, knows a way around getting them to ship, I would much appreciate it. I live in Tennessee and some sites will ship and some will not. Thanks, D FREaK

Here's a link to a discussion forum by some amateur video makers about the how pornography law in the U.S. treats "fisting" and the risks from the producers side of making vidoe including it.

The discussion makes clear that most of these folks would really like to do it if they could, but everyone finds it individually in their interest to sit quietly in the sidelines and wait for the next guy to challenge the law. Of course, as long as everybody does this, the law will never get challenged.

What I found a bit depressing about the discussion was that nobody was saying anything about how wonderful fisting is, and how dumb it is that it's considered illegal in parts of the USA.

Apparently the reason fisting (or any other sexual activity) can be considered illegal in the USA is that it is "patently offensive to the community standards that apply". We can only hope that these "community standards" change as knowledge of fisting becomes more common. That's one of the purposes of "Cindy and Joe".

Let's hope that someday an American obscenity case involving fisting is brought before a judge who is fisting his wife (or a female judge whose husband is fisting her) and the judge throws the case out of the court. :-)

You should request that any adult video be shipped via UPS..FedEx...etc....its completely against the law to ship TO or FROM ANY state via the US POSTAL SERVICE!

There are a handful of U.S. states that have no obscenity laws. Maine is one; I believe that's one reason the Gina Talia went to live there (so she could do her thing in peace). Elsewhere the law always says more or less the same thing -- "patently offensive" by "contemporary community standards" and the like. But every separate little community is a law to itself. In some places the laws on the books have been ignored for years. In other places, a liberal community could live right next to a conservative one -- and what they allow could be like night and day.

So it's not so much what the laws says, its whether and how things are enforced, That depends on who's in office at the moment. (Remember that when you vote).

How to mail things is a good example. I believe the rules are the same for everyone. But the postal service has an army of inspectors whose job is to go looking for these things, and I've heard that private carriers aren't given as much attention.

Within the postal service, it can depend on who dealt with your mail that day. It's rare that the postal people will prosecute a private individual. But it's far from unheard of for the package to just plain dissapear.
