Message:   Am i going to screw her up? I don't want to damage her!

From: monkey     Sent: 7 July 2002     Message 1 of 2

My GF sarah is seventeen, and recently noticed pictures of fisting hidden on my hard drive. I have fisted my last gf, who was early twenties. but i'm scared of trying on one so young. she is keen, but i worry i may hurt her. She broached the subject, not me! I would dearly love to do this. Is this too young to fist?

To start with I must say I don't really feel qualified to answer this question, so please take my opinion as the opinion of an unqualified bystander.

I'm assuming that Sarah is above the legal age for where you live. In other words, I'm advising you to not break any laws.

When you say you don't want to "damage" your girlfriend I'm not sure if you're talking about physical damage or a more general kind of "damage". As long as you don't do anything that hurts and take it slow and easy and stop if it doesn't seem to be working out, then I doubt any physical damage can result. (If the stretching does go well then Sarah should start doing Kegel exercises to avoid losing tone in the vaginal muscles.)

As for a more general kind of "damage", what I worry about is your girlfriend getting an unhealthy attitude towards sex in general. Advanced sexual activities of any kind should be considered to be something extra that can be added to an already good and healthy sex life. They shouldn't be a goal in themselves or a substitute for "normal" sex.

I think that advanced sexual activities should be something that a mature and responsible adult can decide for themselves if they want to try. So the question is whether or not Sarah is a "mature and responsible" adult. If you're sure that she is there, and if you think she has a good healthy attitude towards sex in general, then it's up to her. If you think Sarah is still exhibiting somewhat child-like behavior, and is interested in fisting due to childish curiosity and isn't having a good mature sexual relationship yet, then I think you should tell her she's too young.

Joe
