Message: How Common Is Fisting?

Does anyone have any ideas how common fisting is? When I introduced my wife to it about 10 years ago she thought it was strange and I was quite perverted for even suggesting it. Well now it is a central part of our love making and her best and longest orgasms are experienced during fisting.

Does anyone know if it is actually common but rarely talked about or are we really such a small group that enjoys this practice?

I have no idea how common it is, but I'm sure that it's becoming more common all the time. I can remember that until about 20 years ago it was impossible to find porn videos (well, porn films back then) with fisting. Now, at least in Europe, it is so common in porn videos that one can typically find several new videos with fisting every week at the local sex shop.

This may be an unscientific way of judging how common fisting is, but I'm guessing that the porn film industry is good at producing exactly what the market demands, and that the market demands stuff that they identify with and are doing themselves.

Very interesting question. Other comments, please?

I wouldn't reply on American porn to show an honest incident rate of how common fisting is. Most distributors here won't allow fisting content no matter how much the public wants it. It is like a dirty secret here in the US.
I had a national distributor for more videos. But because most of my content contains fisting, footing, weird object insertion, gyno stuff, they wouldn't accept it because they said they couldn't legally sell it. Their loss, now I do it myself through my site instead. I did get a couple videos nationally distributed though, LOL They edited out the fisting scenes :(

No, not American porn - I specifically said porn here in Europe, where fisting is quite common in porn videos and magazines.

Another possible way to gauge how common fisting is would be to look at the number of clubs here and at Yahoo about fisting vs. porn clubs generally. There is a significant number, but very small compared to the total number of sex sites.

I keep forgetting your guys are in Europe.
It is true that fisting is a small percentage of total porn activities and interests. But many of the so-called more popular diversions are really just more of the public feed (it's what the public gets to see legally so therefore is fed). I wouldn't rely on what videos we see in stores to calculate how many people enjoy fisting vs. facials for example.

Fisting often need some preparation so it may be more uncommon. Its easier to do a 'facial' by mistake .... ;-) than to fist your woman if you're not sure what turns her on. I also think it takes the woman longer time to enjoy a fist in her pussy due to the time it takes get there.... I had the same problem with analsex in the beginning. It takes both parties full attention under some time to learn how to do it, and to do it well it takes a lot of curiosity and joy exploring what you can do, what you cant do and what you can train to be able to do.

But I think that its getting more common. There's trends in sex too and fisting is definately on the way up. But if that is good or bad is hard to say. Many women may get hurt/injured when their boyfriends talk them in to do this. I have read that analsex has cased problems for some women as well as shaving.

Just a bit of personal experience about fisting.. I don't know how common it is in the U.S., although with the upsurge in BDSM and other practices in which it's commonly incorporated, my guess is that it's on the rise. I'd always been excited by a full, stretched feeling in my pussy, and have played with fairly large toys (dildos, vibrators), for a number of years. Hi - I'm sorry, i didn't make myself clear. The dildo i have that's 3" diameter is 11" long but only about 8" of it or so is actually insertable, perhaps 9". The base is more or less a cock-and-balls "stand" for it, flat bottomed, and not at all insertable. So of the 9" or so, i can take most of it, perhaps 8 or 8.5". That's as deep as i'd ever care to go, and probably as deep as i COULD go. What's more exciting than that much length to me is the stretching and filling. :)

Oh, I see. Sorry about thinking you meant 11" deep. 11 inches is much deeper than most can take. I only examined one lady that could take 14" and I could reach into her vagina (behind the uterus into a pocket) and "feel my fingers" above her umbilicus with my other hand feeling through the abdominal wall. The hand inside the vagina was reaching past the uterus and feeling around the top side of the uterus to be able to be felt above her umbilicus. This lady had a very distensible vaginal opening with no vaginal prolapse. Her uterus was well supported and did not come down, so she had strong uterosacral, round, and broad ligaments.

This shows that having a very large vagina does not mean there is associated weakness or problems... as this lady had no problems and could be examined much easier than most. I find those ladies with a vagina that easily admits the hand appreciate a good pelvic exam, but most doctors, for unknown reasons, "will not" do that, even on those that the hand will easily slide into them with no resistance.

I think most doctors are simply "embarrassed to do it" even though it allows a much more complete examination. I doubt if over one doctor in five will ever do it. In my experience I could do it with no resistance in one lady in twenty (which amounts to hundreds of exams with the hand inside). So the "fisting stigma" even applies to doctors... even though I never had a single complaint doing it on many many examinations, and often thanks for doing a more "complete exam". This includes several where the ladies husband was present at that exam and also thanked me.

In quite a few of the exams "with the hand in", I found things like ovarian cancer, colon cancer, ovarian disease, twisted pedunculated fibroids, tubular disease, and endometriosis that would not have been found on a routine two finger exam. If your doctor can do this easily, ask him, it might save your life.

Hi, I don't know, how comon fisting is, but I tend to agree on to "Myepost", that it will be natural for couples that discover each other sexuality.
